Dr. Andrey Cybulsky, a professor of medicine and a clinician scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), has received The Kidney Foundation of Canada’s Medal for Research Excellence for his outstanding contributions to the field of kidney research.

“With over 400 British Columbians* on the waitlist for a life-saving transplant, and almost 80% of them waiting for a kidney, removing any barriers to living donation, including financial barriers is imperative,” said Dr. John Gill

2023 was a year of incredible highs. Our community came together in new and collaborative ways, proving that now more than ever Manitobans see the need for services provided by The Kidney Foundation.

Beyond the changing colours and prospect of flakes of snow, the cooler temperatures also mark the start of cold and flu season.

Our 10th annual Kidney Walk was a roaring success, exceeding our fundraising goal and reaching $126,803.75!

The kidney community stepped up across Ontario this September for The Kidney Foundation’s Kidney Walk.  Participants raised over $966,000, crushing the $725,000 goal, to invest in high-caliber research and crucial support programs to support people living with kidney disease and their loved ones.
