The Leaders of Change are a dedicated group of Kidney Foundation donors who are committed to addressing and supporting high-priority needs of individuals living with kidney disease, their families and caregivers in Ontario. Through exclusive contact with the Foundation’s Ontario Branch, Leaders of Change receive an ‘insider’ perspective on how they, together with the Foundation, can impact lives for the better.
For over 5 years, Leaders of Change have focused on supporting research, short-term financial assistance, camp experiences, advocacy efforts and peer support needs for Ontario kidney patients.
This spring, let’s support the Peer Support program. A diagnosis of kidney disease is the beginning of a life changing journey that greatly affects a person’s physical and mental well-being. The feeling of loneliness while navigating through the disease can be overwhelming. With the generous support of donors, The Kidney Connect Peer Support program was created to help address the emotional challenges of kidney disease and support the overall health of our community. The program is for anyone touched by kidney disease; people living with the disease, their families, caregivers, and those considering living kidney donation.
