Lottery enables The Kidney Foundation to provide help and hope

Colleagues, family and friends came together this week to celebrate the tremendous achievements of Dr. John Chan, who is this year’s recipient of The Kidney Foundation Medal for Research Excellence.

The kidney community stepped up across Ontario this September for The Kidney Foundation’s Kidney Walk.

It is with great sadness that The Kidney Foundation of Canada acknowledges the passing of Cynthia “Cindy” Margaret Cherry, a beloved supporter of The Kidney Foundation, living organ donor, and beacon of hope within the organ donation and transplantation community.

Did you know, Kidney Car is The Kidney Foundation’s largest fundraiser? Since 1992 Canadians have donated over 500,000 used vehicles, transforming the lives of countless kidney patients across the country.

On Saturday and Sunday, June 15 and 16, 2024, this Father’s Day weekend, members of our community will gather to walk in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat in support of those affected by kidney disease for The Kidney Foundation of Canada Southern Alberta’s annual Kidney Walk.

On June 3rd we cheered on eight amateur strongman competitors at The Kidney Foundation’s first ever fitness competition, Flip Off CKD.

The Kidney Foundation recently recognized the outstanding contributions of its volunteers through the chapters’ and Quebec Branch’s 2023 Recognition Awards.

For over 30 years, Dr. John Chan has explored how diabetes, hypertension, and kidney function interact at the molecular level.
