Taking Action Today for a Healthier Tomorrow

Over 4 million Canadians are affected by kidney disease, a health crisis that is not recognized as a public health priority.

The Kidney Foundation is a steadfast ally for Canadians living with or at risk of kidney disease. While a cure does not yet exist, we refuse to wait. We invest in lifesaving research and work every day to advocate for improved kidney care that it is effective, equitable, and accessible to all who need it.

Because kidney health should never depend on who you are or where you live.

A National Framework

On World Kidney Day, March 12, 2026, we released the National Strategic Framework for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): a unified roadmap to transform kidney care from a reactive model to a proactive, resilient system focused on kidney health.

The goal of the Framework is to transform kidney health for all Canadians through prevention, early diagnosis and intervention, equitable access to care, and advancement in research and data infrastructure.

Achieving the promise of the Framework will take all of us.

Your support today helps turn this plan into real action for millions of Canadians.

Your generosity fuels key awareness initiatives, breakthrough kidney research, and projects that aim to directly and urgently support those living with or at risk of kidney disease.

Stand with us. Stand behind the National Strategic Framework for CKD.
