CQDM Partnership

CQDM is a not-for-profit biopharmaceutical research consortium founded in 2008. Their mission is to support and facilitate multi-stakeholder collaborative research and development aimed at accelerating the translation of innovative technologies into solutions that address unmet medical needs while also generating significant benefits for the Quebec and Canadian economy.

They offer a range of funding opportunities that bring together governments, industry leaders, academics, and other not-for-profit organizations to provide financial and logistical support to research teams. Overall, their funding program aims to nurture the development of medical innovations and speed up their implementation into the market, leading to both economic and health benefits for Canadians.

In 2025, we partnered with CQDM through their Quantum Leap program, a program that supports researchers developing platforms that will impact biopharmaceutical research and spark industry growth. We contributed $50,000 to support the Establishment of a Center of Excellence for Comprehensive Diagnosis and Treatment of Complement Diseases, a project led by Dr. Alexandra Cambier at CHU Sainte-Justine. This project aims to set up the first Canadian center prioritizing both research and clinical developments for the diagnosis, treatment, and care of complement-mediated diseases.
