The BC & Yukon Branch provides interest-free loans up to $1,000.00 which must be repaid. These loans are intended to cover "reimbursable costs" for hemodialysis treatments while traveling outside of Canada and for which the individual is eligible for reimbursement from the provincial Ministry of Health.
Applications are made through the patient's renal social worker. If approved, the applicant must sign a promissory note and provide a post-dated cheque for repayment of the loan.
