April is Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Month, a time to spark conversations that save lives and turn awareness into action. By sharing stories and amplifying the voices of donors and recipients, communities and organizations can help close the gap between need and availability.

The Kidney Foundation’s Living Donor Circle of Excellence (COE) recognizes organizations that demonstrate leadership in supporting the lost wages of a living organ donor. Donors give the gift of life, but incur costs. These leaders are showing tremendous support to employees making this incredible choice that has life-changing effects on Canadians and their families.

In recognition of this important month, new COE member, DP World (Canada) Inc, hosted 10 living kidney donors in their private box at a Vancouver Canucks game—an unforgettable gesture of gratitude that highlighted the generosity and impact of living donation. Moments like this help humanize the cause, inspire others to learn more, and show donors how deeply their gifts are valued.

We invite you to read and share DP World’s story, “Turning Awareness into Action: DP World Champions Living Organ Donation,” which showcases how corporate leadership can make a meaningful difference. By promoting stories of impact, thanking living donors, and supporting programs like the Kidney Foundation’s COE, we can build momentum, this month and beyond.
