The Kidney Foundation of Canada is honoured to be the charitable recipient of KRUSH 4 Riley, a full production benefit concert in memory of Riley Cerovcec on Saturday, September 5 at London Music Hall.
KRUSH was formed in 2023 by then second year Western University students, including Cerovcec. The band’s early popularity was fueled by Riley’s musical talent, electric stage presence, and the unwavering support of his family and friends. Throughout their final years at Western, KRUSH played countless unforgettable gigs.
An unfortunate accident in 2025 took Riley’s life, deeply affecting the band, his family, friends and fans. Wanting to do something to honour Riley’s memory, the band decided to put together a benefit concert. “A big part of this event is creating memories,” says Rory Osborne, KRUSH lead vocalist. “The more people in the crowd, the more fun the event is going to be. That is exactly what Riley would have wanted.”
Rocking out to Metallica, Led Zeppelin and Rush with the occasional oldie, alternative rock or country ballad in the mix, KRUSH was known for playing epic three-hour sets and they expect their KRUSH 4 Riley concert to be no different.
“We wanted a worthwhile organization to partner with,” says Osborne. “Riley’s mother and uncle are both kidney transplant recipients and Riley always said he would like to donate a kidney one day, so the natural choice was The Kidney Foundation as our charitable recipient.” Riley’s organs did in fact get donated and through this gift, he saved five lives.
