Chronic illness brings losses for both patients and caregivers. These losses are often invisible to others but felt deeply by those who live with them. This presentation will explore the often-overlooked experience of grief and loss in chronic kidney disease, including the loss of health, physical autonomy, certainty, roles, and daily routines. Through a compassionate and practical lens, attendees will gain insight into how grief can emerge during the illness journey and how a meaningful and rich life can still be lived.
