Tickets will be available at CashForChristmas.CA, only on November 19, from 12:00 AM to 10:00 PM MST.
We announce the winning number at 11:00 PM MST on our social media channels and CashForChristmas.CA.

This is your chance to win extra holiday cash and help the kidney and transplant community!

The event is hosted by The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Northern Alberta & The Territories Branch. Proceeds from the draw help the Kidney Foundation in its mission to provide support to the kidney and transplant community.

Albertans living with kidney failure face significant financial challenges as a result of dialysis treatment. Starting dialysis often decreases income while out-of-pocket costs increase, such as those for transportation to lifesaving dialysis treatment, renal friendly food, and critical medication.

COVID-19 has significantly impacted many within the kidney & transplant community, creating increased pressures on The Kidney Foundation’s patient programs and services. “Kidney and transplant patients have compromised immune systems. Their medical teams have advised them to stay at home and follow the strictest of health guidelines. This requirement has made life more difficult for patients and their families. In many cases, this means a further reduction in income for patients and their partners, which significantly impacts the household”, explains Flavia Robles, Executive Director of The Kidney Foundation, Northern Alberta and The Territories Branch.

A successful Cash for Christmas campaign will allow The Kidney Foundation to continue to support vulnerable Albertans impacted by kidney disease and organ transplantation. “Patients face an extremely challenging financial reality under normal circumstances and rely on our program to help pay for basic and essential needs. We are the last resource. If we don’t help patients, there is nowhere else for them to turn.” “We know there is an appetite and excitement in Alberta for 50/50 draws”, continues Robles, “and we are urging Albertans to buy a ticket, share this exciting opportunity with their friends and family, support the kidney and transplant community, and maybe even become a millionaire!”
