Supporting Patient Centred Programs, Empowering Patients!

Earlier this week, Our Executive Director and Kidney Care Coordinator proudly presented 3 IPADs to Dr. Branko Braam and Judy Ukrainetz from the University of Alberta.

Recognizing the adverse health impacts of having too much fluid and sodium in dialysis patients, Dr. Braam and Ms. Ukrainetz created an educational module which will help dialysis patients to not only increase their awareness and risk factors associated with excess sodium and fluid intake, but to EMPOWER them to take control of their own health.

We are proud to support patient-centred initiatives and to have funded these IPADs as staff will now engage with dialysis patients at the Grey Nuns & Royal Alexandra Hospital so they have the tools needed to improve their own health outcomes and quality of life.

This was possible thanks to all YOUR support and continued engagement in our various initiatives – thank you!!
