Our 100 Kidneys that Care Campaign raised over $65,000!

2020 has been a challenging year for everyone. During the global pandemic, the Kidney Foundation’s commitment to those affected by kidney disease did not waiver. Although many of our fundraising events were cancelled because of social distancing requirements, our kidney community is reaching out for help more than ever. The Foundation responded quickly to shift programs and services to a virtual environment and ensure access needed to cope emotionally and financially was not interrupted.

The 100 Kidneys that Care Campaign was launched to reach our donors, sponsors, guests, teams and supporters of our 2020 cancelled events. While the events could not take place, we needed to continue to support kidney patients. And so, the 100 Kidneys that Care direct appeal and online “event” was launched. Members of our event committees were excited and eager to make the campaign a success. Volunteers and staff alike, reached out to past event sponsors, attendees, and supporters. The response was overwhelming. It is a testament to the loyalty our supporters show, not just to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, but to the people The Foundation serves.

On behalf of our Kidney Community, thank you to our committees, Board Members, and volunteers for helping us exceed our goal. The 100 Kidneys that Care Campaign has raised over $65,000! And a special note of gratitude to all who support and financially contribute to the Foundation.  Together, we will continue to fulfill the mission of the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
