Guest Speaker: Social Workers and Supporting Mental Health While Living with CKD

Social Worker, Courtney Sas will join this meeting to share her expert insights on Mental Health while Living with CKD and how social workers can help support you.

Courtney Sas, MSW, RSW, MBE, is a clinical social worker who specializes in chronic kidney disease at St. Michael’s Hospital. In 2017, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Bioethics from Harvard Medical School. In addition to the Masters coursework, Courtney was an intern with the ethics support service at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Courtney is an Adjunct lecturer at the University of Toronto, Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. Her research interests include advance care planning, end of life care, and kidney transplantation. In 2024 she won the Living Our Values award from the Kidney and Metabolism program at St. Michael’s Hospital.
