Kidneys on the Move is Back for 2021 in a New Way!

Vancouver Island’s very own Kidneys on the Move (KOTM) annual benefit will be going virtual this year with an online event from March 6-13, 2021 and will feature an online auction and musical performances by renowned pianist Jeanne Campbell, the PACE musical group, and a magic show by Jason Verners.

This local fundraiser was founded by Doug and Maureen Hobbs of Victoria 21 years ago, after Doug’s brother, Keith, donated his kidney to him on Valentines Day 2000. The Hobbs’ family had a vision to support kidney patients travelling to Vancouver for their kidney transplant and to help promote awareness of transplantation and organ donor registration. Thanks to its donors and the local Island communities and businesses, this event has raised over $100,000 for The Kidney Foundation, BC and Yukon Branch and continues to this day as a legacy to Doug Hobbs.
