Congrats to Dr. Manns on new U of Calgary leadership roles

The Kidney Foundation of Canada would like to send a warm congratulations to Dr. Braden Manns for his new appointments at the University of Calgary. Earlier this month, Dr. Manns was appointed as the senior associate dean of clinical research for the Cumming School of Medicine and associate vice-president for health research at the University of Calgary.

Dr. Manns is a researcher and professor in health economics and a nephrologist in the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Medicine, holding a CIHR Foundation award in health system funding for his work in health economics. He also maintains a strong relationship with the Kidney Foundation and as a co-principal investigator for the Can-SOLVE CKD program during its development.

"The Kidney Foundation of Canada sends its congratulations to Dr. Manns. Dr. Manns is a strong advocate for kidney health and a long-standing member in the kidney research sphere.  His commitment to the development of programs such as Can-SOLVE CKD, and his dedication to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, including his ongoing participation in the Kidney March, highlights his ongoing engagement with patients and communities. Continuing to see kidney researchers in positions of governance highlights the excellence of Canadian researchers in this field and we are proud to see kidney researchers continue to engage in leadership roles from coast to coast," says Leanne Stalker, National Director of Research for The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
