Learning about dialysis can be very overwhelming, especially with the many different types of accesses needed to have dialysis. Join experts, surgeon Dr. Patrick McVeigh and Vascular Nurse Paul Welsby who will go through the different types of lifelines patients can have based on the dialysis they choose that fits their daily lifestyle.

Dr. McVeigh is a staff Vascular and Endovascular surgeon at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga. He has his PhD in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto where he also completed his MD and specialty training in Vascular Surgery. His practice includes a focus on AV access creation/revision and limb salvage in persons with advanced peripheral vascular disease.
 
Paul Welsby started his renal career at Credit Valley Hospital in 1994. His nursing career in renal has included positions as staff nurse, charge nurse, education facilitator, clinical leader, nurse navigator, and currently as renal access co-ordinator. He has also had part nursing teaching positions at Humber and Sheridan College. He always looks forward to opportunities to teach about renal topics.
