Nurse Practitioner, Jane Ridley, from London Health Sciences will lead a special webinar on Person Centred Decision Making - how to be an active participant in your care and how to be more comfortable talking to your team about your decisions.

About our speakers:

Jane grew up in Stoney Creek (Hamilton area). She obtained her BScN at Laurentian University in Sudbury. She then worked in Medicine & ICU before spending time Outpost Nursing in Northern Ontario and Northern BC. Jane returned to Ontario and attended Western for her Masters in Nursing. She taught in the nursing program for several years before becoming an Expanded Role Nurse in the Renal Program. Jane had finally found her niche.  Along with her Expanded Role Nurse peers she became a Nurse Practitioner.  Jane spent over 20 years with the Renal Program before retiring from the Nurse Practitioner role a little over a year ago. She continues to do project work on a part time/casual basis for the program.
 
Rizwana Ramzanali lives in London, Ontario. She has worked with The Kidney Foundation for 14 years.
Rizwana is a kidney patient currently on dialysis. She realizes that the diagnosis of kidney disease can be traumatic. She knew nothing about it until it happened to her! Rizwana is passionate about supporting patients through their kidney journey in her role as a Programs Coordinator. She believes there is still life after this dreadful diagnosis. “We just have to find our way around it”.
