Since suffering from a stroke, I haven’t been able to get out to enjoy my regular weekly card games with friends because of the decrease in my mobility - it just became too difficult to drive. My wife, Irene, and I decided to donate our 2005 Nissan Altima to the Kidney Car program.

My father, Dennis, was the first renal transplant recipient in Manitoba in 1969.  Following the transplant, he lived another 12 full years, passing in 1981. He supported our family all his life, so when the opportunity presented itself, we wanted to honor him by donating our vehicle as a way of supporting those with kidney disease.

The donation process was easy and went smooth as silk. 
The crew who came to pick up the vehicle was great too!
