On February 18th we hosted our first bowling fundraiser, Share a Spare, and we are so excited with how you welcomed a new event in support of kidney patients!

Over 60 bowling enthusiasts joined us at Dakota Bowling Lanes for hours of games, prizes, food by Chef Jeremy Senaris, and more. Together, 12 incredible teams raised an impressive $14,000! Funds raised will be invested in support services for kidney patients - like financial assistance for dialysis patients, who on average spend $2,000 a month in out-of-pocket expenses associated with their life-saving treatment.

We know this event would not have been possible without the sponsors who invested in Share a Spare. Our Perfect Game Sponsors, Fillmore Riley LLP, Manitoba Turkey, and JEM Insurance, made the day extra fun by registering a team in addition to their financial contribution! Thank you also to our Throwing Stones Sponsor, MacDon Industries LTD, who supported our cause.

A special mention also goes to our top fundraiser, Julie Guevarra, our emcee, Brett Megarry from CJOB, photographer, Oleksandr Bezzemelyni, and volunteers, Ankit and Chantal. It’s community members like you who show our kidney patients that Manitobans have their back.
