Thank You for Your Support in 2022

Even as the world continues to change, your incredible support last year meant we could adapt to meet the growing needs of our kidney community. That’s why we’re so grateful to have had you standing with us through the ups and downs of the last few years.

Through webinars, online forums and virtual peer support, you created more opportunities for people to learn, connect and get the help they need – no matter their address. Through online programs, you helped us reduce barriers for kidney patients who might otherwise face their illness with limited support and answers.

You were also there when times were tough. As we all know, inflation is making everything more expensive – even more so for kidney patients - from the groceries needed to eat a kidney-friendly diet to the gas required to drive to dialysis.

Even though kidney disease is one of the leading causes of death for Canadians, it’s still something most people know little about. This has devastating consequences. Bringing kidney disease out of the shadows is essential if we’re going to prevent it from occurring, improve quality of life for everyone affected by the disease and continue advancing toward a cure.

We’ve come so far together, even as the world around us has changed so much. Now, in 2023, let’s keep pushing forward to raise greater awareness of this silent killer and help people affected by kidney disease live their very best lives.

With gratitude,

Elizabeth Myles
National Executive Director
