Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) effects more than just your kidneys. Coping with CKD also has a profound affect your mental health. Whether you are a patient or a caregiver, dealing with CKD can bring uncertainty, worry and anxiety. You may also experience feelings of loss and grief. Join guest speaker Cinzia Di Carlo for a candid discussion about these thoughts and feelings as well as tools and strategies you can use to help cope and heal.

About Cinzia Di Carlo:

Cinzia Di Carlo is a registered social worker, psychotherapist providing person centered therapy and empowerment-oriented case management to clients and their families. Cinzia has counselling experience with individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety and depression, grief and loss and intimate partner violence as well as with older adults coping with life transitions. Currently, Cinzia works at Humber River Health in the nephrology program, providing support to individuals approaching the need for dialysis and those currently receiving treatment.
