Dr. John B. Dossetor has made an immeasurable contribution to The Kidney Foundation of Canada. He was responsible for kidney research being a high priority for the Foundation when it was established in 1964. This high priority remains and the research strategies that were developed then are as relevant today as they were over forty years ago. This award recognizes contribution to the research program of The Kidney Foundation of Canada. It is presented to an individual or group who merits special recognition for outstanding service or other contributions to The Kidney Foundation’s Research program (ex; significant funding of research, creating/developing research partnerships, raising research awareness, contributing to research committees, etc.).
