Wissam Faour, PhD Supervisor: Dr. Chris Kennedy Award: Merck-Frosst - KRESCENT Joint Fellowship Institution: Ottawa Health Research Institute Year: 2005-2008 Dr. Wissam Faour will complete his post-doctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Chris Kennedy at the Ottawa Health Research Institute. Dr. Faour is a Ph.D. scientist who will be investigating both the beneficial and harmful role of prostaglandins in glomerular disease, building on his expertise in molecular mechanisms. Diseases of the glomerulus, or filter of the kidney, are one of the most important single causes of end-stage kidney failure that affects over 4,000 Canadians each year. Previous Next
