Dr. Todd Fairhead will complete a post-doctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Joaquin Madrenas at the Robarts Research Institute in London, Ontario. Dr. Fairhead is a young researcher who has charted a consistent path in immunology with a particular focus on transplant immunology. In his research he will examine the role of a specific protein, (RIP 2), in the immune response and its association with infections of the peritoneal cavity amongst individuals on peritoneal dialysis as well as renal allograft injury.
